Originally launched in 1993, The Balvenie 12 Year DoubleWood is made using a process commonly known as ‘wood finishing.’ The Balvenie DoubleWood is aged for extended periods of time in two different wood types. First, sherry wood brings a depth to The Balvenie 12 Year, then the single malt whisky is finished in The Balvenie’s casks to marry harmoniously.
