The choice for an upscale house rum. Reminiscent of a fine 100% agave sipping tequila, Spirit of Texas' Straight Silver Rum has hints of butterscotch, citrus and vanilla on the nose. It opens warm with a taste of black pepper and allspice, and then comfortably follows through with what the nose promised. The finish is full bodied, quite smooth, slightly dry. Having far less bite and a well-rounded flavor, it doesn't get in the way. Yet somehow, it makes every cocktail taste just that much better.
