To make this craft liqueur, The Dampfwerk Distillery consulted a 200-year-old German Rezeptbücher, or recipe book. Inspired by the liqueurs Dampfwerk founder Ralf grew up around in the German harbor town of Bremerhaven, The Helgolander gets its name from Helgoland, a small island in the North Sea. Great for cocktails or as a digestif, The Helgolander is a mixed bag of flavors with warming tones of spice, bitter notes, and a hint of residual sugar.
